Junior Counselor
Staff members who are in their Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior year of college. Running collegiately is not a requirement but preferred. Must be motivated, passionate about running, and have good interpersonal & communication skills.
Job duties include but are not limited to: Running and spotting on trails, supervising camper activities, setting up and facilitating for events (i.e. Ice Cream social, activity night), assisting Senior Staff, dorm duty, and more!
Senior Staff
Staff members who have graduated college and have experience in the running or teaching community. Must be motivated, passionate about running, and have good interpersonal & communication skills.
Job duties include but are not limited to: Running and spotting on trails, facilitating challenge courses, overseeing camp activities, assisting JCs when necessary, speaking sessions, dorm duty, and other duties assigned.

Senior Staff & Junior Counselors
The deadline to apply is March 31

New applicants will be contacted to arrange a zoom/facetime interview with the selection committee.

Two references with contact information need to be provided on your application for all NEW (JR & SR) staff, one of those must email a letter of recommendation for your application to be considered.

Have a letter of recommendation with your name in the subject line sent to run@brevarddistancerunnerscamp.com by the application deadline.

LOR must be written by a previous or current coach, mentor, or teacher/professor.

New staff applications without a letter of recommendation will not be considered.

All staff are subject to a background check based on the information collected in the application.

You must be available to arrive for training the Saturday before your session begins and stay until noon on Saturday when your week ends.

Staff will be notified on or before May 1st of our employment decision and which weeks you are hired.

If hired, you will be provided with a contract and must return a signed copy of your contract for employment.
Dates available to work
EARLY ARRIVAL STAFF
Early arrival staff will need to arrive on July 7th. Set-Up begins at 9 am on July 8th for those specified.
Week 1
Staff needs to be available to arrive on the evening of July 9th to report for training the morning of July 10th.
Week 2
Staff needs to be available to arrive before noon on Saturday July 17th for staff training.
