Welcome back to BDRC! For over 50 years, the BDRC summer camp has offered a fun, summer getaway for young, growing runners from all across the nation. Below you will find registration information and the links to register. Please read over all the information carefully, we know it is a lot but it is important to know!

​What you need to know about registration:​

  • All registration is online.

  • You must pay your deposit at the time of registration using a debit or credit card.

  • The $150 deposit to reserve your space is non-refundable for any reason.

  • You can pay the balance due online with a credit card at any time prior to June 15th.

  • You can mail a personal check prior to June 15th.

  • After June 15th, you can mail a money order or cashier’s check.

  • Any of these options will be added to your account on our end and will reflect a $0 balance which will fast-track you through registration.

  • If you prefer to bring the balance with you on registration day, you can pay with cash, money order, or certified check only (no personal checks or credit cards) payable to Brevard Distance Runners Camp.

  • A camp t-shirt and lanyard are provided for all campers. Parents, siblings and guests of campers are not allowed to stay on campus or eat in the dining hall.

Attention All Coaches

ALL COACHES MUST REGISTER

PLEASE REGISTER EARLY
  • All Coaches (free or paying), Assistants, Chaperones, Bus Drivers, Spouses, Non-Participants and Children MUST Register!

  • We can only guarantee space for two free coaches per team (one with 7 or more, 2 with 14). We reserve the right to limit the number of coaches for a team to two. After free coaches, we accommodate paid coaches. After that, and subject to availability, we try to accommodate spouses and kids (non-participants). The process of approval for those subject to availability will be first come, first serve, therefore you should register them early. Adding their name to your registration is not a valid registration! Each person must register individually. If we close camper registration, we cannot guarantee further space for coaches. Therefore, everyone should register early! Thanks for your cooperation.

  • IMPORTANT: Fill out the transportation information as it is necessary for our logistics.

 Coaches

  • All coaches (free or paying) will be assigned supervisory duties.

  • Coaches will room on the floor of their runners unless they are of the opposite gender.

  • Everyone is housed in dormitories of the same gender, therefore we cannot guarantee spouses wishing to stay together if you are both registered as coaches.

  • One coach comes free per 7 runners, and two coaches with 14 runners.

  • Bus Drivers must be counted as one of your allowable coaches, or subject to availability-they will pay a non-participant fee.

  • Coaches MUST be over the age of 21.

  • Teams can be of any size and mix of gender but must have a coach at camp to be deemed a team.

Coaches and Campers

  • KEY DEPOSIT
    • There will be an additional $50.00  charge to each camper and COACH for a key deposit.

      • The key deposit must be a separate $50 check.

      • You must bring your key deposit with you to registration. This deposit will be returned at the end of camp when the key is returned.  Key Deposits will not be returned after you leave camp.

  • ​MEDICAL:

    • Must have proof of insurance uploaded to their online account.

    • Proof of insurance is a copy of BOTH sides of the medical insurance card.

    • You must copy both sides of the card to one sheet of paper before uploading.

    • Campers are responsible for any and all medical expenses incurred during camp.

    • If allergic to bee stings, you MUST bring your own EpiPen.

  • REFUNDS

    • The $150 deposit to reserve your space is non-refundable for any reason. If you pay in full and cannot attend camp for medical reasons, you are entitled to a refund minus the deposit.

    • Refunds will be processed weekly.

Campers

 

  • Individuals must register and can attend for Week 1 only

  • Individuals Week 1 must be in High School or going into High School

  • Individuals would be any person or group attending without a coach.

  • Individuals are grouped together and assigned a member of our staff as their coach.

  • Any group of campers attending week 2 or 3 MUST have a coach in attendance.

  • Teams can be of any size and mix of gender but must have a coach at camp to be deemed a team.

  • PLEASE NOTE: No 2-weekers without a coach. Unfortunately, we can no longer accommodate individuals staying 2 weeks. If a team wants to stay 2 weeks, you will be on your own for meals and activities but can stay in the dorms.

Transportation Discounts

  • To get the "with transportation" discount, please confirm with your coach that you are bringing our definition of transportation.

 

BRDC TRANSPORTATION DEFINITION:

  • Transportation is deemed as buses or 12-15 passenger vans. Individual cars/minivans are NOT permitted unless your entire team plus coaches can fit in one car. No campers will be allowed to drive.

Coaches:

  • One coach comes free per 7 runners, two coaches with 14 runners, etc

  • Bus Drivers must be counted as one of your allowable coaches, or they will pay a non-participant fee.

Brevard Distance Runner's Camp is located in beautiful Brevard, North Carolina.

 

Cool nights and mild days make the Blue Ridge Mountains the ideal place to train and run during the summer season.  And, it's always a blast!
